Coldwell Banker Commercial Metro Brokers hosts REAP Career Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Coldwell Banker Commercial Metro Brokers hosted a commercial real estate career day for 13 graduates and two officials of the Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) on Friday, June 30.

The event kicked off with a catered lunch followed by a presentation delivered by Executive Vice President at Coldwell Banker Commercial Metro Brokers Marty Rueter, Director of Broker Support Dexter Dix and Career Manager Angela Fucron. The presentation explored various topics related to Coldwell Banker Commercial Metro Brokers, such as vision, culture, management support and marketing tools.

“If you want to be apart of something big, this is a great opportunity,” said Rueter.

REAP is an industry-backed program that finds and trains career-changing minority professionals for positions in commercial real estate. The program offers education, networking and on-the-job training with leading firms and is considered to be the most successful diversity initiative in the commercial real estate industry.

Some of the REAP graduation requirements include:

  • Screening and interview process to determine eligibility
  • Minimum payment of $750 tuition to participate
  • Completion of a 13 week, 26 class curriculum in real estate concepts and principles

A week prior to the REAP event, Rueter met with several graduates to discuss Coldwell Banker Commercial Metro Brokers’ three “hierarchies” of recognition, compensation and support. Graduates appreciated the leadership, training and structured “start-up” program, in addition to the company’s commitment to excellence and diversity.

“I am extremely impressed with the background, maturity, speaking skills, and personable-ness of the three I’ve already met,” said Rueter.
